Nexus (U) Limited undertook the development of a Concrete Block Yard located on Plot 970, Senge, Wakiso District. This facility was designed to meet the growing demand for high-quality concrete blocks for construction projects across Uganda. The block yard serves as a production hub, ensuring the efficient manufacture of durable blocks for a variety of building applications.
Scope of Work
The project involved the design, construction, and setup of a fully operational block production facility. The scope of work included site preparation, machinery installation, and the establishment of production and storage areas.
Site Preparation:
- The site was cleared, leveled, and prepared to accommodate the production yard and related infrastructure.
- Drainage systems were installed to ensure proper water management and prevent flooding.
Production Facility Setup:
- A concrete block production facility was constructed, including covered workspaces to protect machinery and workers from harsh weather conditions.
- Dedicated areas for raw material storage, block curing, and finished product storage were established.
Machinery Installation:
- State-of-the-art block-making machines were installed to ensure the efficient production of concrete blocks of varying sizes and specifications.
- Supporting equipment such as mixers, molds, and conveyors was integrated into the production process.
Utilities and Infrastructure:
- The facility was equipped with a reliable water supply system for block production and curing processes.
- Electrical systems were installed to power the block-making machines and other operational equipment.
